Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. Buss is the founder and director of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and was raised as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and went on to own the Lakers as well as various other sports organizations. She felt abandoned emotionally as her parents divorced in 1972. In 1972, at age 19, she was employed in the family business. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She also served as director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the duties of the vice president for the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and the ownership of the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling an equal vote. She assumed the office of the President of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles the organization which is a pro-wrestling organization.
