Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her home town. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father was from the Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal & Sunyata. In the year Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved to Mendocino County California. They didn't have electricity. Ryder, who read a lot when she was 12 years old, became a reader due to the fact that Ryder had no access to television. Ryder aged 12 was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In 1986, she got her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder suffered bullying in the high school. Ryder hoped the acting profession would alter the way she dealt with bullying. Sadly that didn't happen. However, she kept working towards her dreams. Ryder made her breakthrough with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder played characters that made a splash in a variety of films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her role in The Age of Innocence (1993).
